Middle Country Public Library has partnered with the Allstate Foundation since 2006 around the theme ofReadiness Begins With Me™, initially to establish the Catastrophe Readiness Clearinghouse and website (www.CatastropheReadinessClearinghouse.org), with the mission of empowering individuals by providing information that leads to positive action in advance of a catastrophe.
The Allstate Readiness Series broadens the scope of the theme Readiness Begins With Me™, creating a year-long calendar of events sponsored by the Allstate Foundation and held at Middle Country Public Library – focusing on issues such as catastrophe readiness, teen safe driving, and financial empowerment for victims of domestic violence and others.
A networking and information breakfast meeting 5 times a year. Meet fellow entrepreneurs and small business owners over free breakfast and learn a new tip through short, informative presentations.
A workshop series focusing on one topic geared towards small business owners. Each session takes place in one hour or less, allowing busy entrepreneurs to get the skills they need without taking too much time out of their workdays.
