Business: Empowered

It’s “better than a full-page ad.”

One of our favorite things to do is meet local business people. In preparation for the upcoming Women’s EXPO we have been hitting the road to meet some of the participants in their business environments.

If you hIMG_6481ave strolled the quaint streets of Port Jefferson you have probably seen Jena Turner’s Breathe. Its beautiful window displays catch the eye of even the most harried shopper. Visitors step into a fragrant, energizing space that features home decor, candles, jewelry, crystals and so much more. Many classes such as yoga, meditation and reiki are offered in store.

Jena has been a part of the EXPO for 5 years and we asked her why the event is important to her. She told us that many of the people who find her at the EXPO visit the shop and become regular customers. In Jena’s own words, the EXPO is “better than a full page ad.”

Thanks Jena!
